Originally conceived as a doctoral research proposal, the Kenshin Project was approved for development at CIDESI-CONAHCYT. Situated in Querétaro, Mexico, this center is recognized as one of the most versatile and dynamic research groups in the country. The project’s name, Kenshin, means “Heart of Sword.” Its primary objective is to bring the results of ECG signal processing research to society. The aim of the project is to create a comprehensive front-end tool that can be reliably used by clinical practitioners in their practice, and to develop other resources necessary for scientific research.
While the Kenshin Project may seem ambitious, it benefits from being a part of a large academic community, predominantly composed of passionate and creative individuals, thus making the success of this project more attainable than initially thought. Indeed, it is a fact that scientists are art-minded people; hence, by coordinating our collaboration in a more effective way, we can together make the journey to success shorter.
Collaboration is often complex due to divergent interests and the human need for creativity. However, our responsibilities as scientists in public service require us to prioritize the betterment of humanity. Contributing to and serving the community brings a sense of fulfillment that surpasses mere work for personal recognition. Additionally, most of us are obligated to publish anyway, so it is better to foster hope in scientific research as the optimal way to create a positive impact on the world.
